The Riverside
The Riverside was built around 1584 by Sir Richard Grenville of the Armada fame. He was the benefactor who provided Boscastle with its fine sea walls. The Riverside is situated along the River Valency with thirteen spacious rooms with river or harbour views. Each room has all the facilities you should require including:
- full en-suite facilities (shower or bath)
- freshly laundered towels and bath mats
- full central heating with individual controls
- tea and coffee making facilities
- 26" LCD televisions with DVD players
- wireless Internet access, and
- individual hairdryers.
A full English breakfast is included in the tariff price and is served between 8:30am and 10:30am and has a choice of the following:
- Traditional large / medium full English breakfast or combination
- Smoked kippers
- Smoked haddock
- Smoked salmon
- Fruit juices
- Cereal
- Freshly brewed coffee or tea
We have the prestigious BREAKFAST AWARD from VisitBritain that recognises establishments that offer their guests a quality and choice of breakfast, service and hospitality that exceeds what would be expected at their star rating.
In November 2010, VisitBritain awarded The Riverside the prestigious FIVE STAR SILVER award for it's accommodation, giving particular attention to providing:
- Excellent quality accommodation with exceptional levels of hospitality
- Breakfast and evening meals freshly prepared and to a high quality with an excellent choice of quality items
- Bedrooms offer ample space with excellent comfort and elements of luxury
- High quality decor, furnishings and fittings featured in all guest areas
- An excellent overall level of quality in all areas
- Service and hospitality levels exemplary.
SILVER AWARDS are given to hotels and guest accommodation that provide exceptional quality in all areas but in particular in service and hospitality.
In Boscastle, all local residents and visitors are restricted to using the large Pay and Display Car Park opposite the Cobweb Inn, only 50 meters from the property. This car park charges daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm. After this time, the car park is free.
The Riverside is only five minutes from the South West Coastal path and Boscastle Harbour but is situated in the centre of the village. We are adjacent to all amenities, with excellent restaurants and pubs nearby.
