We have tried to compile all of the frequently asked questions we receive my email. So rather than you email and wait for a reply, we hope that you can get the information here.
If there is something we have forgotten, email us and we can respond as soon as we can.

Cancellations
All reservations are made on the basis of seven days minimum notice of cancellation or curtailment. A full cancellation policy can be found on our terms and conditions page. Should you wish to cancel a room, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so that we are able to re-let the room.

Car Rental
We recommend EUROPCAR as a car rental company for guests looking to stay with us. Depending on your method of travel to the Westcountry, there are different stations at would be more suitable. Click here to get more information.

Check In
We ask for guests to check into their rooms from 2:00pm on the day of arrival. We do cater for late arrivals, however, this is strictly by arrangement only. If you think you will be later than 9:00pm, please telephone us in advance and we will make sure someone is here when you arrive.

Cot
We have a cot that we are able to provide to guests. We do ask that guests provide their own bedding for its use. If you require the cot, please reserve it when you place your reservation as we only have one available.

Early Breakfast
We serve breakfast between 8.30am to 10.30am every morning. We are unable to provide guests with an early morning cooked breakfast prior to these times. However, do ask as we can sometimes cater for a small breakfast consisting of toast, cereal and a hot beverage before you leave.

Kit Transfer
Guests who are walking the Southwest Coastal path can use a Cornish company Luggage Transfers Southwest. Prices start from £13.00 for transfer of two bags within the local area per party. This service can be arranged direct by calling 0800 0437927 or international callers can telephone 01326 550721.

Laundry and Washing
The Riverside has no facilities for providing a laundry service to guest's personal items. However, Tintagel, the next village has a laundrette offering washing, drying and ironing facilities at good rates. Ask for more details.

Parking
In Boscastle, all local residents and visitors are restricted to using the large pay and display car park opposite the Cobweb Inn, only 50 meters from the premises. This car park charges daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm. After this time, the car park is free. This information was correct as of the 16 May 2011 but guests are reminded to check the information board before purchasing tickets from the machine. More information can be found by checking the Cornwall Council website.

Pets
The Riverside is unable to accommodate pets on the premises. However, we do recommend ‘Collans Cross Kennels’ (Telephone 01840 213410) based in five miles away in Camelford.

Payments
Credit or debit card details are taken as security against your reservation when booking by telephone or online. We accept all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express. On departure, guests are asked to settled their account personally with either a valid credit or debit card, cash or cheques with a valid guarantee card are also welcome.

Smokefree Policy
From Sunday 1 July 2007, it is the policy of The Riverside that all our premises will be smokefree and that all our guests and employees have the right to enjoy a smokefree environment. Smoking is permitted in the garden area to the rear of the property during opening hours.
